The trees are coming
into leaf
being said;
and spread,
kind of grief.
born again
they die too.
looking new
of grain.
castles thresh
every May.
seem to say,
afresh.

Parklife Events
Coming Up...
Parkstalls will be held under the
railway bridge in Southend on Sea High Street on the second
Saturday of every month, starting at 12.00noon. Please come and
help us out or just lend your support. Parkmeeting(s) on the third Wednesday of every month, 7.30pm till 9.00pm at The Last Post (Clifftown Road end), Clifftown Road, Southend on Sea. Regular
informal meetings with Parklife for news updates and event planning. Our annual Picnic in the Park is held on the date marking the formal opening of Priory Park in 1917, when the original 30 acres of land, including the gardens and Cluniac Priory of St Mary of Prittlewell, were presented to the people of Southend on Sea for perpetual public use by famous local benefactor Robert Arthur Jones.
